Alpine Revival

Alpine Revival

Production company: The Light Surgeons
Client: Alpine

In the summer of 2025, I was commissioned by The Light Surgeons to create the music and spatial audio design for Alpine’s exhibition stand at Goodwood Revival, the world's most spectacular historic motor racing event. The Light Surgeons were invited by Creative Consultant Sav Remzi to develop the stand concept for the iconic French car company, working with production company Fusion 2k and Insight Lighting. The installation unified 51 vintage CRT monitors with an immersive spatial audio system to transport audiences into Alpine’s racing heritage.

The stand featured three collections of 17 monitors, each dedicated to one of Alpine's celebrated vehicles: the 1970s Rallye Du Maroc-winning A110 Berlinette, the A441 C Le Mans Prototype Class winner showcasing pioneering female drivers Beaumont & Lombari, and the newly launched Alpine A390 with its design evolution and modern electric production lines. Archival films were carefully edited by Rohan Thomas and Louis Walters, combined with animated photography and bespoke animations by Reuben Sutherland.

I created the soundscape weaving together vintage motor racing commentary, engine roars, and the mechanical precision of timepieces, spatially choreographed across a 12-channel system I helped design. An ambient musical score underpins it all, evoking nostalgia, the tension of race day, and the triumph of victory -` transporting visitors directly into Alpine's golden era of motorsport. The composition drew on archival audio from the races to place the audience at the heart of the action, complementing the retro aesthetic of both the vintage CRT displays and Goodwood Revival's celebration of motorsport's golden age.
