LIVESETS
Alongside my audiovisual performances with The Light Surgeons, I perform solo music live, with sets that blend composition and improvisation in varying degrees.
I constantly experiment with different performance approaches and instrument combinations—from drum machines, modular synths, groove boxes, and cassette tape loops to classical guitars, hand percussion and sound objects. My aim is to find the right balance between structure and spontaneity, curating collections of instruments that offer a broad sonic palette while remaining practical to transport and set up.
I'm drawn to the immediacy of live performance and the direct dialogue it creates with an audience. The experimental nature of improvisation in a live context becomes a form of research—these explorations often generate new sonic territories and compositional approaches that feedback into my more structured studio work, creating a cyclical relationship between performance and production.
